Maccabi Haifa is not expected to exercise the option to extend Timo Mozzi's contract. The midfielder, who belongs to the Greens, was loaned last season to Ironi Kiryat Shmona and is terminating a contract with the team. According to sources familiar with the details, the Greens tend not to exercise the option on the young player and he will in fact become a free agent.
One of the teams that has expressed interest in the player is M.S. Ashdod. Although Haifa does not intend to exercise the option on Mozi, it will ask for an improvement fee if he signs with another team in Israel. Stav Nachmani, whose option the Greens tend not to exercise, is in a similar situation and the team will demand betterment fees for him.

The club believes that Shabab, Al Ahly and Al Ain, are willing to give Omar Atzili a long-term contract. As is well known, both UAE clubs are very interested in the Premier League's top scorer and are willing to immediately pay his release clause of two million euros to transfer him to their ranks. Haifa believes that both teams are ready to "lure" Azili, who turns 30 in July, with a long-term contract estimated at several million dollars for the entire period and significantly higher than his current salary at Maccabi Haifa.
Haifa has not yet been informed that Atzili has received an official contract offer at this stage. The actor has not yet made a decision on whether he is interested in moving, and apart from professional matters, the decision will of course also include the family and financial component.
Al Ahly plays in Dubai, while Al Ain is the fourth largest city in the Emirates and smaller than Dubai, which could influence the decision. The interest from the Emirates came through Atzili's agents, Gilad and Ronen Katzav, but Haifa are fully aware of the developments and are also trying to convince the player not to accept the offer and continue with the team.
