It is rare for Neymar to go through the summer without his future in question. The 2023 transfer window will be no exception to the rule. According to the newspaper L'Equipe, Pep Guardiola made a phone call to him. The coach of Manchester City would have wanted to "probe the state of mind" of the Brazilian striker, under contract until June 2027 at Paris Saint-Germain.
However, the team stresses the low probability that Neymar (31) will land at City, champions of England who will face Inter Milan in the final of the Champions League on June 10. The rumour had already pointed the tip of his nose a year ago, and Guardiola himself had dismissed the idea. The phone call from the Catalan technician could be a way to put pressure on other English clubs where Neymar's name is circulating.

Newcastle, Chelsea and Manchester United also on the spot?
Newcastle, nouveau riche qualified for the next Champions League, has denied wanting to recover a player of his magnitude. "He has to go to Chelsea," said Thiago Silva, his fellow Blues defender and former PSG captain, last year. Finally, the British press recently mentioned discussions between PSG and Manchester United for a potential transfer. Neymar was having a great season with Paris (29 games, 18 goals, 16 assists) before an ankle injury at the end of February that required surgery.
