Benfica's Championship Game: 0-3 win over Santa Clara (Sports1)
Spain reported on Monday that there is still no improvement in the condition of Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico, who has been hospitalized in Seville since yesterday while anesthetized and on a ventilator. Rico fell off his horse while riding, sustained a head injury and is hospitalized in serious condition. Today he was visited by his teammate Carlos Soler and the president of Sevilla, where he grew up and played in the past, Pepe Castro.
More details from the incident that took place yesterday morning were revealed. Rico, who had arrived the night before from France and was riding to Sunday Mass at the church, when suddenly the horse was startled by a Mule vehicle passing by, threw the doorman to the ground in surprise. After the fall, the horse hit the doorman in the head. Luckily for Rico, witnesses rushed to call for help. Because the conditions on the ground did not allow an ambulance to arrive, a helicopter flew him to the hospital.
The 29-year-old Rico was still on the bench on Saturday as Paris drew 1-1 away to Strasbourg to secure the title. He was then given permission to take off for his home, near Hualava, Andalusia.

Rico grew up in Seville and thanks to his excellence in the media, he was invited to the Spanish national team, made one appearance there and was in the squad for Euro 2016. He spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Fulham, after which he was sold from Sevilla to Paris for €6 million.
In the French capital, Rico was mainly used as a substitute goalkeeper, and last season he was looking for a chance at playing minutes and played on loan at Mallorca. He spent the entire current season on the bench of the French champions. In total, he made 24 appearances in all competitions in previous seasons.
