Oliver Kahn was not allowed to travel to Cologne. According to his own statement, the ex-CEO was prohibited from celebrating the championship with FC Bayern.
Update from May 28, 11:19 a.m.: Controversy about Oliver Kahn: There are different statements about the manner of Kahn's dismissal. In Sport1's "Doppelpass", Sport1 editor-in-chief Pit Gottschalk spoke about a barge that was foaming with anger when he learned of his dismissal on Thursday. The club was even afraid of fisticuffs between him and Jan-Christian Dreesen at the airport, which was also a reason why Kahn was forbidden to fly to Cologne. Kahn himself tweeted a different version. "The claim that I freaked out when I was informed of the dismissal is definitely not true," he wrote during the show. Kahn continued: "I received a call from Herbert Hainer on Friday informing me of the decision. It was a calm and matter-of-fact conversation. I was just wondering about this activism, why this decision was brought forward now. On Saturday morning, I was told that I couldn't go to the game." He also "calmly accepted" this decision. Kahn continued: "Of course I'm disappointed, but I'm really happy about this championship and I'm happy for the team, the coach and our fans."
President Herbert Hainer confirmed at the press conference on Sunday that, unlike the one with Hasan Salihamidzic, the conversation with Kahn "did not go well" and was "emotional". It "didn't work out" to get the separation "amicably". For this reason, a short-term meeting of the supervisory board was convened on Friday, at which Kahn was dismissed.

A few minutes later, Kahn updated his Twitter message and deleted the part that he was prohibited from doing so "by the club".
