The prosecutor requested a total of 18 months in prison and continued detention against the pillar of the XV of France rugby Mohamed Haouas, tried Tuesday for domestic violence in Montpellier.
The prosecutor asked for two years in prison, including one year suspended probation, for beating his wife late Friday afternoon, after he saw her smoking a cigarette outside the mall where she works. It also requested the revocation of a six-month suspended sentence for a previous burglary case, totalling 18 months, and the continued detention of the 29-year-old MHR player, who had been detained pending trial in immediate appearance.
