The 10 most beautiful assists in the Premier League in the 2022/23 season (Sport1)
"Super agent" Jorge Mendes has been one of the people closest to Cristiano Ronaldo throughout his career, arranging for him some of the most famous deals in European football history, such as his move to Real Madrid and Manchester United, but a few months ago they parted ways, and Mendes no longer represented Cristiano in the huge deal that sent him to Al Nassr from Saudi Arabia.
At the time, there were reports of Ronaldo's criticism of Mendes for failing to secure a top team for him in Europe, but Mendes also claims that he and Ronaldo are in good relations, and that he continues to work on "big" things in football.
"Cristiano will always be in my heart," Mendesh said, "He is a special player and a special person to me. If years ago I had been told I would have a player who was half of it, I would have signed. All the Portuguese should be grateful that we have such a player here.

"Like I've always said, as far as I'm concerned, he's the greatest player of all time. The best in the world, even compared to all the others. Throughout his career, he was said to be just strength and hard work. It's true that his work ethic is an example and role model for young people, but he's also talented. Everyone was talking about Ronaldinho and Messi and Brazilian Ronaldo, but when he was young Ronaldo was a super talent. Also strong, even one-on-one, also fast. And he became a gate machine. Most people didn't think about the process that led him to become the best in history. And that's what it is for me.
"Why isn't he playing in Europe? That's life. Cristiano is where he is, in Saudi Arabia. And we should all be grateful for everything he has contributed to sport and football in Portugal, he is the greatest ambassador Portugal has ever had."
According to Mendesh, he continues to do fundamental things in football and "big things will happen soon this summer, I can't tell you yet."
