If the season finale of TSV 1860 at FSV Zwickau (2:2) had to be awarded a title, it would probably be most likely under "Between the Worlds".
Munich – In terms of sport, it was no longer about anything anyway: The Lions have been trapped in the wasteland of midfield for weeks, Zwickau has been relegated for two weeks. The performance offered in the game, neither particularly good nor particularly bad, resembled the emotional state that prevails in the lion cosmos with regard to the entire season after its end.
As a reminder, a furious start was followed by a steep decline before Maurizio Jacobacci was found as the new coach. Under him, the team has at least recovered. Jacobacci recently said, not without reason: "I'm actually proud of what's happened here lately. Because: It really wasn't easy to deliver results in no man's land despite everything," said the coach, referring to the six wins and four draws in the fourteen games under his leadership.
TSV 1860: Relief at the end of the season
Jacobacci has stabilized the Lions defensively to some extent. As far as offensive work is concerned, there is still room for improvement. After all, TSV scored at least two goals in Zwickau for the third time in a row: Marcel Bär (48') and Milos Cocic (90') scored in Zwickau. Once an experienced striker leaving the club, once a talent for attacking midfield.
But it is still completely unclear who will provide Lion goals in the future. The fan camp is struggling with the uncertain personnel situation for the coming season. Ten players will leave the club, including top scorer Stefan Lex. Mega-talent Marius Wörl or all-rounder Joseph Boyamba. No new additions are known so far. Also because there is still no signal from the shareholder side in terms of budget. There are quite a few in the club who are relieved that the season is over. But that doesn't mean anticipation (jals)
