As every four years, the Blues are preparing for a long balloon trip. Seventeen weeks between the first gathering, on July 2 in Monaco and, if all goes well, the final on October 28. But Fabien Galthié and his staff, with their experience, have learned the lessons of previous World Cups. And decided to include cuts and a family internship time. Two firsts. Already present in 2019, for the edition in Japan, the director of performance, Thibault Giroud remembers. "We had all suffered from the lack, from not seeing our families during the preparation. And then, by dint of being together all the time, it ends up, not by hitting each other, but by creating tensions..."
