The Israeli national team is waiting to discover the identity of its opponent in the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, where Ofir Haim and his players went early Wednesday morning with a dramatic 0-1 victory over Uzbekistan. At this time, Brazil and Tunisia meet, with the winner becoming the hurdle facing Israel in the next stage.
Brazil, considered one of the favourites to win the tournament, recovered from a 3-2 loss to Italy in the opening round to beat the Dominican Republic 0-6 before beating Nigeria 0-2 to advance to the final eight. The Tunisians have won only once in the tournament, 0-3 against Iraq, a match that was in the middle between 0-1 losses to England and Uruguay.
