After a penalty shootout and trailing 1-1 in 120 minutes, Sevilla won the Europa League on Wednesday with a victory over Roma. This is the Spaniards' seventh title win, and they have yet to lose in the final game.
The unlikely hero was Argentine defender Gonzalo Montiel. The same player who scored the decisive penalty in the World Cup final was the one who kicked the last ball last night as well. Despite missing the first chance, he received a replay kick and sent Sevilla celebrating the title.
Montiel is the first player in history to score a decisive penalty at a World Cup and a European team title, and he does so in the same season.
The Israeli users celebrated with the Argentine on social media, writing: "Being Montiel, what more can you ask for beyond that?" Others wrote: "Of course he was, it couldn't have been someone else."

The losing coach, Jose Mourinho, was furious with referee Anthony Taylor: "It was a very intense game, with a referee who looked Spanish. There was injustice. I hope this referee stays in the Champions League and continues to do this nonsense in the Champions League, and leaves us alone in the Europa League."
