Although he is not the one who built the team and only arrived during the past season, Maccabi Tel Aviv fans are quite unanimous about their Spanish coach Aitor Karanka, whom they do not want to continue to see on the sidelines in the 2023/24 season.
While the club's captains have yet to make an official announcement about his continuation, Karanka continues to broadcast business as usual. Today (Thursday) he met with team manager Yoav Ziv at the training camp in Spain, posted a photo on social media and wrote: "We continue to work hard towards an exciting and challenging new season, in which we want to achieve the best results at Maccabi Tel Aviv."

Karanka also has a contract for the upcoming season, having joined the Yellows at the beginning of January with the departure of Vladimir Ivić to Russia and signed a contract with the club until the end of next season. Unfortunately, the fact that the team finished third and lost in the semi-finals of the cup to Beitar Jerusalem caused the yellow fans to boo him and demand his dismissal, during matches and in the protests in Kiryat Shalom in recent weeks.
