With the final whistle in Cologne, it was said that Kahn and Brazzo were out of their jobs. The team didn't know that – and was surprised during the championship celebration.
Munich - The last minutes of the match between 1. FC Köln and FC Bayern were running, when suddenly reports made the rounds that Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic were leaving their jobs at Munich. The news spread like wildfire. The team, which had just been able to bag the championship at the last second, cheered loudly on the pitch, not yet knowing about the dismissals.

FC Bayern first wanted to inform the team about layoffs
Thomas Müller then found out about it on the Sky microphone. "That's coming now, one minute after the final whistle?" said the newly crowned German champion in amazement. Müller said to presenter Sebastian Hellmann: "It's a good job from you." The FCB captain admitted: "I didn't know anything about that until now." Thomas Tuchel, on the other hand, stated that he had been informed about this on Friday.
At the presentation of the new CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, which FC Bayern had already announced with the official announcement, president Herbert Hainer then also admitted that the announcement had not been planned in this way. "It wasn't planned that way. The plan was to inform the team first," he said.

Salihamidzic wanted to be able to say goodbye to the FC Bayern team in person
He hadn't even noticed that it had been in the media before, because he had celebrated with the team. "The plan was to say it to the team and the public at the same time." However, those responsible had probably already planned to communicate it on Saturday. As Hainer reports, Salihamidzic asked to be able to say goodbye to the team in person. "You know what it's like. On the last matchday, at the latest the day after, the whole team, the coaches and the staff are gone."
However, it is not known who passed on the news to the media before the final whistle. In any case, Oliver Kahn – about whose dismissal and the following days there are conflicting statements – had no opportunity to say goodbye to the team after winning the championship.
