Real Madrid is the world's most expensive club in 2022 with a valuation of $6.07 billion, according to Forbes. For the second year in a row, the Spanish luxury club tops the list of 30 clubs compiled by the American business magazine, with Manchester United in second place, worth $6 billion (£4.8 billion).

Spanish league champions Barcelona, ranked first in 2021, dropped to third place with a valuation of $5.51 billion (£4.4 billion). This year's list marks the first time two clubs have reached the $6 billion mark. Madrid has increased its value by 19% in the past year, while United have climbed 30%.

Madrid and United are the only two clubs to have been ranked in the top five each year since 2004, when Forbes began publishing annual valuations of football clubs. Six of the 10 ranked clubs in the report are Premier League teams, and seven of the top 30 clubs are from Major League Soccer, with LAFC at No. 17 being the highest-ranked U.S. team on the list.
