The last of the season. After having an emotional thought for Sergio Rico during the first minutes of his press conference, Christophe Galtier evoked, the serious face and marked by the situation that affects his goalkeeper, the reception of Clermont at the Park, this Saturday evening. The opportunity for him to take stock of his first season on the Parisian bench and to discuss his personal future in the capital.
In what state of mind are you after this gruelling first season at the head of PSG?
CHRISTOPHE GALTIER. I don't feel the need to take a break. There is fatigue as always when you finish a season. It's a different season compared to any I've ever had. There is still a lot of energy and a lot of desire.
If you were to ask yourself a question at the end of this season, what would you ask yourself?
(He thinks for a long time). I did not expect this question. I would ask: my dear Christophe have you had moments of pleasure and joy during this season? I would say yes. The context today is different but I would have said yes. There was a lot of fun and a lot of joy.
What is your future at PSG?
This week, there were no discussions about next season. You will understand very well in relation to Sergio that all minds are turned to the situation and the state of health of Sergio. There is a time for everything. We will finish this week, this championship. In the days that follow, there will automatically be the question of next season. There will be questions about my future. But it's the same everywhere. You tell me about Igor Tudor, no one imagined that he was going to leave. It will be time to discuss with my management to find out what the orientations will be for next season.
Will any elements of the pro squad play with the Under-19 finalists of the France Championship on Sunday?
El Chadaille (Bitshibu) passes the bac exams, which is why he was absent this Thursday morning. He had a ping-pong event. Today he is taken until 18pm, tomorrow he will be with the group. Congratulations to the under-19s on reaching the final. Congratulations to the players and Papus (Camara). There is a reflection on the subject so that the young people are available for us and the decision was to protect them so that they can play this final. The rules mean that those who have played less than 45 minutes will be able to go down. Obviously I'm going to protect Warren (Zaire-Emery), so he can come down. We will see with Ismael (Gharbi), Ilyes (Housni) and El Chadaille (Bitshiabu). A decision was made with Luis Campos to bring the most strength with the U19s.
Back on the training of our Parisians.

What do you remember from Lionel Messi's move to PSG?
I had the privilege of coaching the best player in history. Tomorrow will be his last game at the Park. I hope that it will be welcomed in the best possible way. A lot has been said about himself. He had to adapt in his first season. This year, he has been an important element, always available, present in the training sessions. Despite the remarks or criticisms, which I do not find at all justified given his statistics, he has always been at the service of the game, of the animation. For the coach that I am, it has been a great privilege to accompany him all season.
What is your worst memory of the season? And the best part?
The worst is the double header against Bayern, that's for sure. We've had games where we've been very good, but many of you forget that. The best thing is still the fact of being France champion, being leader from the first to the last day.
