FC Bayern are looking for a successor to the sacked Hasan Salihamidzic. The list of candidates at a glance.

Max Eberl (Managing Director RB Leipzig) – the preferred candidate

Max Eberl was already in talks with FC Bayern some time ago – but somehow the timing never seems to be right. The ex-Gladbach player only signed a long-term contract until 2026 with Bundesliga rivals RB Leipzig at the end of last year. However, Eberl "definitely can't bring about a departure from Leipzig after just six months," said FCB legend Lothar Matthäus: "Then he'll be down with pretty much everyone in the football industry."

As a native of Lower Bavaria and former FCB youth player (a Bundesliga game for the professionals), Eberl would fit perfectly into the profile. There was even apparently a meeting between FC Bayern and Eberl.

Markus Krösche (sporting director Eintracht Frankfurt) – the alternative

If it doesn't work out with Eberl, Markus Krösche would be an alternative as Brazzo's successor. Matthäus brought the name Krösche – currently sporting director at Eintracht Frankfurt – into play at Sky: "He would be a suitable man who comes from football, who has a good network, who has worked successfully – both in Leipzig and now in Frankfurt." However, Matthäus noted that FC Bayern was "perhaps a size too big" for Krösche.

As Sport1 wants to know, Krösche has already committed himself internally to Eintracht Frankfurt, there should be no contact with FC Bayern. In addition, according to the report, the 42-year-old does not have a release clause for his contract, which runs until 2025. To do this, Krösche currently has to manage the upheaval at Eintracht, find a new coach in the summer and probably replace some players. The former technical director of FC Bayern (2014-2017) would be the interim solution. Michael Reschke is currently Head of European Football at the internationally renowned player agent agency CAA Stellar. The 65-year-old is satisfied with his job, but a Bayern comeback is not out of the question.
