Hapoel Tel Aviv will take to the floor in 48 hours (Saturday night, 21:00, Sport 5) for one of the most important games of the club in recent years, with a home victory completing a 0-2 series against Hapoel Jerusalem and sending the hosts to the playoff final for the first time in 18 years.
The team's success in landing shiny names in the summer and the excitement among the crowd led to the Reds selling all subscriptions to the team's home games, creating a situation in which the 3,500 seats contained in the home arena are no longer enough for the team, which is noticeable ahead of Saturday night's game for which tickets are not available.
As a result, the club has been thinking about possible solutions in recent months, and in a series of meetings with Tel Aviv municipal officials, they raised the proposal to move to holding the team's home games in a special tent that will be erected for basketball purposes and can accommodate a significantly larger crowd. Similar technology was used around the world, and a number of large tennis and basketball games were played in makeshift tents built for the purpose.
