Moritz Seider and the ice hockey heroes won silver. In the stands, his girlfriend kept her fingers crossed - a true winter sports dream couple.
Tampere - It's a sensation, even if it didn't make it big in the end: The German national ice hockey team won silver. It left countries such as Sweden, the USA, Finland and Switzerland behind and in the end failed only because of Canada. One person who played a major role in the success is Moritz Seider. And in the final, even one winter sports enthusiast in particular kept her fingers crossed for him: his girlfriend and short tracker Anna Seidel. So both are at home on the ice.

Seider, who plays full-time for the Detroit Red Wings in the NHL and received a Newman of the Year award in North America, was already a leader on the DEB team at his young age of 22. His girlfriend Anna was eagerly awaiting the final against Canada, always letting her 103,000 followers know where she was. In the stands, the lady was also on site in Tampere and wished for the gold medal.
When the game was over, she was still filled with pride. "Still more than proud, the best is yet to come", accompanied by the silver medal and a heart emoji, Seidel wrote when the silver medal was hung around her neck and he could be seen on the large video cube.

The grief was not long for the players, shortly afterwards they were seen together in a photo shared by Antonia Gail, the girlfriend of Dominik Kahun. There, some women had a medal around their necks, including Taylor Turnquist, the girlfriend of NHL star Nico Sturm. Seider himself was also able to laugh again after the small disappointment and posted a collage of pictures from the tournament. Seider was selected to the All-Star team.

Seidel herself has been to the Olympic Games three times so far, although she is only 25 years old. Her greatest successes are two silver medals at the European Championships and a silver medal at the World University Games. Now there is a silver one from her Moritz in the shared trophy cabinet.
