A lot of activity at the shooting ranges: Almost 600 shooters have taken part in the Gau shooting so far. The organizers are confident that they will break the 1000-participant mark. © Dietmar Friebel
The currently beautiful weather plays into the hands of the organizers: The organizers of the 67th Gauschießen, held in Kinsau, draw a positive interim balance.
Kinsau – The wonderful weather plays into the hands of the Schützenverein Kinsau, which is currently hosting the 67th Gauschießen. By last Tuesday, the organizer had already counted 599 shooters who had stepped into the stand on the first six days (378 in the air rifle competition, 221 with the air pistol). The latter discipline is obviously gaining more and more friends.
Top air pistol shooter Matthias Holderried has also been in the marquee, albeit on a different mission. He acted as a supervisor on behalf of the Schützengau. "I'll try it on Thursday," announced the Tannenberger after his first short appearance in the championship series had only reached 95 rings and fifth place.
Around 600 shooters took to the stands
Last weekend he was in Munich for regional comparisons. The order will change, not only in the "air pistol" discipline, in which his brother Michael Holderried leads with 281 rings ahead of Michael Bayer (281) from Bernbeurer and Alexander Seiband (279) from Schwabsoien. In the air rifle competition, Alexander Seiband is ahead with 282 rings, followed by Stefan Krätz from Bad Bayersoien and the wild climber Johannes Mylius with 281 rings each.

When shooting at the lucky target, in this competition the Gau shooting kings are also shot out, Klaus Waldmann (7.2 dividers) and Bettina Stolle (10.1) ensure a double lead from Schwabniederhofen in the "air rifle" discipline. Third place goes to Tannenberg's Gerlinde Bissle (12.5). With the air pistol, Jürgen Lechner from Apfeldorf is in the lead (20.6 pieces), followed by Michael Schmid (36.2) and Michael Feneberg (44.4) from Schwabsoien.
Grand Final Shootout on Monday, June 5

According to the current status in the air rifle class, Gerlinde Bissle (7.2 dividers), Hermann Helmschrott from Kinsau (8.9) and Christian Stolle (13.4) from Schwabniederhofen would have the first access to the lucrative prizes in the fixed target. In the "air pistol" class, Marcel Fuhrmann from Hohenfurch (43.0), Klaus Schweiger from Böbing (47.0) and Alexander Seiband from Schwabsoien (48.9) are in front.
The 34 electronic booths are always well occupied, there have even been waiting times. If the competition continues to develop so well, the 1000-participant mark should easily be managed. Especially since the weather forecast continues to announce sunshine and experience shows that the rush increases towards the end.
Shooting will continue until Sunday, June 4, on Friday from 16 p.m. to 23 p.m. The final shooting of the best in the championship series starts on Monday, June 5, at 16 p.m. with the age group "students". This is followed by the young people as well as the juniors/adults in the disciplines "air pistol" and "air rifle". The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday, June 7th. The next few days will be followed by the classic car meeting (8 June), the music evening with the Allgäupowers (9 June), the musicians' star march 10 June and on 11 June the conclusion with a church procession, parade and finale in the marquee.
