Munich – FC Bayern Munich has dismissed its two most important executives, Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic. But it is unlikely to stop there. Titan and Brazzo's closest confidants are also threatened with dismissal.

FC Bayern apparently fires Kahn advisor Mattes
Oliver Kahn's assistant Moritz Mattes, officially "Chief of Staff" at FC Bayern, has been released, according to Bild. The release of Kahn's shadow man was expected, due to his proximity to the ex-boss. The two of them once founded the company Goalplay together. Kahn was the face of the company that had developed an app for goalkeeper training. Mattes pulled the strings in the background.
In the corridors of Säbener Straße, Mattes was perceived above all as the office manager and closest confidant of CEO Oliver Kahn. His demeanor towards the employees of the German record champions on an interpersonal level was, according to tz information, extremely brash and therefore controversial.

FC Bayern probably dismisses Kahn's shadow man – Brazzo's right hand trembles
It is not for nothing that Uli Hoeneß said of Kahn's dismissal: "The great disappointment lies in the fact that I thought he could fill the office by virtue of his personality alone, but he instead surrounded himself with his advisors." Hoeneß saw this as responsible for "the catastrophically bad mood".
With Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge elected to the supervisory board, a more familiar atmosphere is now to be restored at FC Bayern. In addition to Mattes, who is likely to leave as a Kahn confidant, technical director Marco Neppe must tremble for his job.
Brazzo's right hand trembles: FC Bayern decide on Marco Neppe's future
Neppe was considered the squad planner and right-hand man of the dismissed sporting director Hasan Salihamdizic. The 36-year-old was already at the club before Brazzo and worked as an assistant to former technical director Michael Reschke, who has been linked with a return to FC Bayern. However, under Salihamdizic, Neppe made a steep rise from scout to technical director.

"I want to take the time to look at things," said new CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen at his first press conference about Neppe, whose future is completely open. Piquant: Neppe was present at a transfer meeting of the bosses with coach Thomas Tuchel on Wednesday, as reported by Bild. After a short time, however, he left the club grounds, while the bosses and Tuchel discussed for another two hours.
FC Bayern in a dilemma: What role does Brazzo assistant Neppe play in the Rice transfer poker?
In favor of Neppe, however, is that the Bavarians have no other man with current market insight after the Brazzo exit. Tuchel recently met with desired player Declan Rice in London – together with Salihamidzic and Neppe, who apparently keeps in touch with the father and advisor of the West Ham professional. (ck)
