Gau youngsters prove their skill in aiming - and off the beaten track

The next generation is also taken care of as part of the 67th Gau shooting in Kinsau. The Youth Cup attracted with many entertaining disciplines.

Kinsau – As part of the 67th Gau Shooting, the Schützengau Schongau provided a program in Kinsau that apparently met with great interest. 23 teams of three or four took part in the Youth Cup, the individual disciplines of which, however, have little to do with shooting sports.

Rather, the young participants had to prove their skills in the following competitions, among others: darts, blowgun shooting, dice, can throwing and butt digging. In addition, they had to be as correct as possible in an estimation question. The participants had to compete in all disciplines and were able to collect points for their team.

Youth Cup at the Gauschießen was very well received

The winner was the team Böbing II with Sophie Rudolf, Annalena Keller and Maxi Keller, who collected a total of 143 points and relegated Peiting (119 points) with Sophie Settele, Annika Uhl and Amelie Doubrawa as well as Apfeldorf II (107) with Hanna Fernsemmer, Theresa Fernsemmer and Franziska Fernsemmer) to the next places. Other placings: 4. Schwabniederhofen 106, 5. Prem II 105, 6. Wildsteig 102, 7. Kinsau I 98, 8. Rottenbuch III 89, 9. Prem I 84, 10. Apfeldorf I 84.

"The event was superbly organized and the competitions were carried out quickly," enthused Stefan Feneberg from Schwabsoien, one of the visitors. Above all, he praised the Kinsau Gau youth leaders Thomas Haseitl and Lukas Grimm, who were on duty with other helpers. In darts, blowpipe blowing and shock digging, the eventual winning team collected the most points. When it came to rolling the dice, Sarah Dietmair, Theresa Stückl and Hannah Greißl from Prem I were unbeatable. Anton Linz, Fabian Meschermoser and Luca Köpf from Urspring I collected the most points in the lucky disc and in the can throwing.

In the estimation question, Lukas Tischler, Pius Pröbstl and Tobias Schleich from Rottenbuch III came closest to the 434 crown lids in the jug. The participants of the three best teams were presented with trophies by Thomas Haseitl and Lukas Grimm at the final award ceremony in the shooting tent. In the late afternoon, the 34 electronic booths around Gauehren were finally used to shoot with air rifles and air pistols.
