French rider Zazie Gardeau, 22, is in intensive care at a hospital in Plymouth, England, after a fall last Saturday during the Bicton eventing, the French Equestrian Federation (FFE) announced Friday.
"Zazie is to this day still in intensive care in a stable condition," said the FFE in its statement where it highlighted "the exemplary care by the British medical teams".

Gardeau, with his mount Daïquiri, fell while passing obstacle number 7 of the cross course, said the FFE.
The Toulousaine was crowned European champion young eventing riders in 2022, after winning the same title in the junior category in 2018. Earlier this year, she announced she was joining the stables of Andrew Nicholson, a New Zealand rider and three-time Olympic medallist.
