TSV Paunzhausen: Goal and relegation – Sulzberger's picture-perfect farewell – "It's so awesome"

2023-06-02T14:13:11.831Z

Highlights: TSV Paunzhausen beat SV Langenbach 3:0 (2:0) in district class decider. 800 spectators watched the decider in Unterbruck. Player-coach Alexander Sulzberger can look forward to a perfect end to his career. Even at 0:3, the back straight sang and bounced with the somewhat too cheeky fan shirts, where B-Class and A-Class were crossed out. The fans have rewarded us for the whole season, says SVL coach Frank Vanselow.

Player-coach Alexander Sulzberger can look forward to a perfect end to his career. 3-0 win in the decider, one goal and relegation.

Unterbruck – In the end, it wasn't the epic battle, but just a beautiful experience. TSV Paunzhausen was simply too good, too superior and too concentrated. With 3:0 (2:0) the district classist won in front of 800 spectators in Unterbruck against SV Langenbach (we reported).

Sulzberger: "It was awesome, but there's melancholy about it"

"It's so awesome," says coach Alexander Sulzberger, who will never forget this day. After a first beer shower to stay in the league, there was not only a coach who fulfilled his task and achieved the set goal for the season. It was the last game of footballer Alexander Sulzberger – on the big stage and with maximum success. And he scored a goal. It was so beautiful that it was almost cheesy. "We wanted to play good football and were good at the back," said the coach. And the early lead goal also played into his team's hands, "because Langenbach had to come from there". Sulzberger is a robber, but also a fair sportsman, and that's why he didn't comment on the opponent. But the surprise that there was no real pressure phase of the opponent was noticeable to him. Sulzberger was able to enjoy his last match ("It was awesome, but there is melancholy about it.") and he emphasizes that the district class is a big number for his hometown of Paunzhausen.

On the other hand, it should be noted that the young SVL team never really got along with the scenery. However, the Langenbach annex had district league format. Even at 0:3, the back straight sang and bounced with the somewhat too cheeky fan shirts, where B-Class and A-Class were crossed out. Maybe you'll need them again in a year's time, because the future belongs to the team.

SVL coach Vanselow: "The opponent was very good, and the clearly better team won"

For coach Frank Vanselow, the support in the final minutes was also the accolade for the team: "It was no longer about this relegation game. The fans have rewarded us for the whole season." Even in the hour of heavy defeat, the SVL knew how to classify the almost march through from the B-Class to the district class. This duel was an opportunity, but it didn't break anything. Vanselow therefore found it easy to conclude the 90 minutes: "The opponent was very good, and the clearly better team won." His team had only hinted at the offensive potential late on. The coach was still looking ahead on the pitch: "If this team stays together like this, then we always have a chance of winning the district class." NICO BAUER
