Israel's youth team continued to make history on Saturday by beating Brazil 2-3 in the quarterfinals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup. The exposure that Ofir Haim's group received, of course, reached the Knesset, where they did not remain indifferent. Apart from the calls the coach received from President Isaac Herzog, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Sports Minister Miki Zohar, there were other Knesset members who responded to the huge sensation.
Ahmed Tibi, who is known as an avid soccer fan, referred to the goal scoring of the sector's players Hamza Shibli and Anan Halaili. In response to a post by journalist Ben Caspit, who wrote: "Someone check that Ahmed Tibi is okay, I have yet to see a tweet of his harassment of all the racists and fascists," Tibi replied: "I am satisfied with the integration of not many players into the team, from time to time they also score."
As I said, I am satisfied with the integration of the non-Arab players into the national team. From time to time they score too. https://t.co/8AUfh4ldXS

Prof. Hagai Levin also tweeted: "A great victory for Israel over Brazil! Arab soccer players, such as Hamza Shibli and Anan Halaili, have made a decisive contribution to the success of the Israeli national under-20 team. The more we succeed in encouraging the full integration of Arabs into Israel, in all areas, the more successful Israel will be. This is done in the health system, in which Arabs in Israel make a decisive contribution."
