The first step has been taken: ASV Dachau also won the second relegation match against Vornbach on Sunday. Against Forstinning, it's now a matter of keeping the national league.

Dachau – The footballers of ASV Dachau qualified for the second relegation round yesterday with a 2-1 home win against DJK Vornbach, they had already won the game in Vornbach 3-1 on Thursday. In the second and decisive round, the Dachau team will now meet VfB Forstinning, who prevailed against Dingolfing in two games. If ASV Dachau also clears the Forstinning hurdle, it will remain in the Landesliga.

When a coach substitutes a player who is instrumental in the positive outcome of a game, it is often said that he, the coach, has "shown a knack". Manuel Haupt, coach of ASV Dachau, proved a "super hand" yesterday: In the 61st minute of the game, Haupt substituted the attacker Antonio Jara Andreu, and he made the all-important 2-1 with his first touch of the ball. And not only that: the sugar feed came from David Dworsky, whom Haupt had also sent onto the field shortly before.

The 3-1 win in the first leg was a good cushion. When Zvonimir Kulic put a foul penalty on Sebastian Mack in the 27th minute to make it 1-0, things seemed to be over.

But it wasn't. Shortly before half-time, the visitors from the Passau district were successful with their preferred attacking variant: high ball in front of goal. The tree-length defender Thomas Schacherbauer headed the ball into the far corner. And because the Vornbachers had already had a good phase before, in which the ASV seemed quite vulnerable, it was no longer so clear who would move into the next round. If the Vornbachers managed to score a second goal after the break, the big trembling would begin.

But Jara Andreu removed all doubts. In addition, it became increasingly clear that DJK Vornbach, second in the Bezirksliga Niederbayern Ost, is very limited in terms of play. The guests, loudly cheered on by their many fans, tried a lot, but ASV had the opponent's attacking efforts under control. It wasn't really dangerous in front of ASV goalkeeper Artem Bykanov.

Everything is now at stake against Forstinning. The matches against the Dachau league rivals will take place on 7 and 10 June. It has not yet been decided who will have home rights first.
