Summary of Maccabi Tel Aviv's 1:2 victory over M.S. Ashdod (Sport1)
Foreign agents working in Europe claimed over the weekend that it is impossible to determine unequivocally that Aitor Karanka will coach at Maccabi Tel Aviv next season as well. The Spanish coach posted a photo on Thursday from the planned training camp in Marbella standing between team manager Yoav Ziv and the man in charge of the facility in southern Spain.
Karanka wrote that he is working and preparing for next season and Maccabi Tel Aviv has no one contradicting this at this stage, but conversations with various agents last weekend revealed that the quiet currently prevailing from management and owner Mitch Goldhar regarding Karanka does not necessarily indicate that the Basque's future is secure at the club.

Large sections of Maccabi Tel Aviv fans are not happy with Karanka's stay and are planning a large demonstration this week. So far, the protesters have made do with signs in Kiryat Shalom, and when representatives came to speak to club officials in the offices on Thursday, they found that the place was unoccupied because renovations had been made to the rooms and the employees were asked to work from home.
