Real Madrid CF and our captain Karim Benzema have agreed to end his brilliant and unforgettable period as a player of our club," Real wrote in a statement released a few hours before the last La Liga match, against Athletic Club (18:30), where Benzema is expected to receive a standing ovation from the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.
