Laura Dahlmeier is still active after her biathlon career. While climbing in the mountains, a small mishap has now happened to her.

Munich - Laura Dahlmeier has won pretty much everything there is to win in biathlon, then ended her active career at the age of 25. But she doesn't get bored in her "athlete's pension", the now 29-year-old has numerous hobbies in addition to her TV job as a biathlon expert - climbing and mountaineering in particular are always part of it for Dahlmeier. Just a few months ago, she announced via Instagram that she had successfully completed her training as a mountain and ski guide.

But on her last climbing tour in the mountains, which she did with two of her friends, Dahlmeier had a small mishap – which is why she is now doing "Handy Detox". "Attention, stone from above! I duck. Bang. Hit. What was that? I look at my hand. Instead of my mobile phone, I just hold the empty case," writes the former biathlon star in his story on Instagram.

Fortunately, nothing happened to her, but: "The phone is gone... Silence," she writes. For many, this news would probably be a disaster, as the small electronic devices increasingly contain pictures, videos and other memories from many years. If left unsecured, the loss can be painful.

Laura Dahlmeier enjoys the peace and quiet without a mobile phone

But Dahlmeier apparently takes the loss of her phone quite calmly. "Instead of taking photos, I'm now doing a cell phone detox. And suddenly I'm enjoying the peace and quiet," she writes on Instagram. Once again, you can do it without a smartphone.

She doesn't want to become an influencer one way or another, as she recently revealed in a Merkur interview: "I'm not a professional mountaineer. It's my great passion. Of course, when I'm outside, I pull out my phone and take a photo. Later, when I'm waiting for the bus, I'll post a photo. But I don't plan it like an influencer and if no good photos come out, it's not bad. It was still a good day. I want to preserve that." (msb)
