Ligue 1 delivered its verdict after the 38th and last day, Saturday, June 3. PSG won their 11th France league title, while Lens and Marseille qualified for the upcoming Champions League. Here is the honor roll of this 2022-2023 season.
A record eleventh title for PSG
Even on alternating current this season, Paris Saint-Germain won their 11th France league title. This is a record in the history of the championship, ahead of Saint-Étienne, crowned 10 times.

Lens second send Marseille to Champions League play-off
RC Lens, with an exciting game, finished the season in second place and will play in the Champions League for the first time since the 2002-03 season. A hell of a feat for the Blood and Gold, who were even in the title race until the 37th day.
Inconsistent at home, Marseille failed to finish a frustrating third-place finish. It condemns OM to play two play-off rounds this summer to qualify for the Champions League pools, the club's initial objective.
Rennes in the Europa League, Lille in the Conference Europa League
It all came down to the last day in the race for Europe. Despite a less successful second half of the season, Stade Rennais won fourth place in extremis, synonymous with the Europa League. Fifth-placed Lille qualified for the Conference Europa League. Monaco and Lyon will not be European.
They did it! ❤️🖤

Auxerre, Troyes, Ajaccio and Angers relegated
The suspense lasted until the end. Auxerre finally finished 17th and thus go down to Ligue 2 a year after its rise, in a season exceptionally four relegations. The AJA joined Angers, Troyes and Ajaccio, already condemned for several weeks.
Le Havre promoted, Metz suspended
Leader of Ligue 2 for almost the entire season, Le Havre ensured its rise to the elite on Friday night, on the last day.

Metz, second, should accompany the HAC in the elite. But the Garnets must wait for the verdict of the disciplinary commission, pronounced Monday, concerning the fate of the match Bordeaux-Rodez, stopped Friday after the assault of a Ruthenian player. If the match is replayed, the Girondins will have a tiny chance of going up.
Kylian Mbappé top scorer for the 5th time in a row
He, too, set himself a record. With 29 goals, Kylian Mbappé finished at the top of the scoring chart, two points ahead of Alexandre Lacazette. The Parisian striker obtained this honorary distinction for the 5th time in a row, a performance only achieved by Jean-Pierre Papin.
