The goalkeeper
The choice was not very difficult. Indeed, our editorial team naturally turned to Brice Samba (29 years old). In central defence, there was no real debate. Defensive midfielders
It was a tough battle in between. Salis AbdulSamed (23), essential in the balance of Lensois this season by his activity and physical impact, has managed to pull out of the game. Just like Valentin Rongier (28), who has shone with Olympique de Marseille, thanks to his great versatility. Several other players received votes: Seko Fofana from Lensois (28), André Gomes (29) and Benjamin André (32), Benjamin Bourigeaud from Rennes (29), Khéphren Thuram from Nice (22) and Branco van den Boomen from Toulouse (27).
Attacking midfielders
For the positions of attacking midfielders, our editorial team has chosen a Parisian and a Lillois. LionelMessi (35 years old), author of a remarkable season statistically (16 goals and 16 assists in 32 games), is quite logically on the right side of our team-type of the top Ligue 1. On the other side, we find Rémy Cabella (33), centerpiece of the offensive animation set up by Paulo Fonseca at LOSC (7 goals and 10 assists in 32 games). In front, there was no suspense. Alexandre Lacazette (32) and Kylian Mbappé (24) were selected unanimously.
