The Paris Saint-Germain technician spoke at a press conference after PSG's defeat to Clermont. It ensures that no decision is taken

Between defeat (3-2), tribute and support to Sergio Rico and celebration of the title, Christophe Galtier lived a special evening this Saturday evening at the Parc des Princes. He assured him, in the post-match press conference, that his future was not sealed.

There were whistles at the announcement of your name tonight at the Parc des Princes, how did you experience it?

CHRISTOPHE GALTIER. It's never fun, but that's the way it is, it's part of being a coach. But my personal case is not the most important. The goal was to be champion. Even if we end on a bad note. In this evening, which was also an important evening of support for Sergio, for his loved ones, for his wife, for his mother, we would obviously have preferred to end with a victory. But the fans were exemplary, the club did things well for Sergio. I hope that this support will bring positive things. As for my case, it remains my case. I can understand the whistles. I accept, I have nothing to do but accept because especially the second half of the season was very difficult. All this is also the result of a very, very hard media tribunal that I was able to discover, by becoming the coach of PSG. Sometimes lightning has struck me, but I end this season with a lot of pride. After that season, I am now another man, and another coach.

There are also whistles for Messi... Do you feel like you've experienced some surreal things this season?

Yes regarding Leo, I think the whistles are very hard. Like the season, there have been good periods, not so good periods. Maybe in a few weeks I will find the origin of Leo's treatment, because he has always behaved well. He is the greatest player in the history of football. He has some interesting stats, in a season where he played a lot. Leo had a great season. I hope that people will analyze it coldly, with a little more lucidity.

A lot has been said about your future, do you have more information to share about it?

This morning, waking up very early, my phone vibrated a lot. I read this info. I did not have an exchange with my president, but I did with Luis Campos. I have not been told, confirmed or denied anything about my future. I know that I will have a "normal" appointment with my management to take stock of this season, then we will see which direction will take my sporting direction.

If you had to change something this season, what would you change?

I reserve my analyses for my management, for my president, any experience is enriching. Coaching is a tough job. When I arrived in Paris, someone told me: "The higher you are, the stronger the blows". That's how it is, but it's also accepting the function. It's a very, very enriching experience. In a few days, in one or two weeks, I will also do an analysis: did I do everything right? No, I didn't do everything right. But I also did good things.

You left the podium shortly after the title, and you sent a kiss to the stands. What did that mean?

I did the same thing two years ago when I won the title in Lille. I think when the trophy is awarded, it belongs to the players. It is above all modesty, to let the players celebrate together, and sing together. The kiss was for my wife who was here in the stands and supported me throughout the season. Again, these moments of joy belong to the players. When we were champions in Strasbourg, in the dressing room, I was surely different.

Do you have any regrets about this season?

Post-World Cup management. Obviously there are things to analyze, because that's why we had a lot of problems, squad, injuries, very important. It is on this that we will have to work and surely progress so as not to have an air hole at a very important time in the life of the club.
