Good news for Barcelona fans: another vision for the future, but signs point to Lionel Messi's comeback approaching. Jorge Messi, the star's father and agent, met with Catalan club president Joan Laporta on Monday, and at the end of the half-hour meeting, confirmed: "Leo wants to come back. The option exists and I would love to see it here. We believe he can come back."
Messi Sr. was documented arriving at the meeting with Laporta in a video posted by Spanish journalist Tony Juanmarti, with Relevo reporting earlier today that the Spanish league management will approve the feasibility plan prepared by Barcelona so that it can comply with the financial fair play rules.

If La Liga approval does come, Barcelona could make Messi a concrete offer, but signing a contract will only be possible after the club sells a number of players who are not in the plans and these sales bring in money that will make the team meet the financial fair play.
Meanwhile, France reported today that representatives of Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal are also expected to meet with Jorge Messi in France, asking the star's father to wait. It's unclear how accurate the foreign reports are about Saudi Arabia, but it was recently reported that Al Hilal is willing to pay Flea over $1 billion in a two-year contract, while Inter Miami also hopes to get their hands on the Argentina captain.
