Those responsible at FC Moosburg only want to strengthen the squad for the district league selectively. But a new addition is already fixed.
Moosburg – FC Moosburg is back where it sees itself after a 2-0 relegation win over BSG Taufkirchen. After being promoted back to the district league, the club wants to establish itself in this league - and if the team develops accordingly, the district league could also become an issue again in the medium term. However, sporting director Philipp Reiter is not putting any pressure on the coach and the team with a view to the future. The club was last on the ball in the district league in 2019.
The most important personnel has actually been clarified since the winter: Coach Mario Sinicki (53) will also look after the team for the comeback in the district league. Reiter is very satisfied with the trainer, who has now achieved legendary status with his third promotion in Moosburg, even if that may not be so important to the modest Sinicki. In any case, sporting director Reiter raves about the coach, who for him is the right man in the right place: "He knows what he has to do to move the team forward."

Question mark behind keeper Jonas Rehberg
In the coaching team, there is therefore only one internal promotion. Patrik Heilmair will be promoted from goalkeeper to playing assistant coach in the new season. On Saturday in the relegation match against BSG Taufkirchen, Heilmair had to watch due to injury - and Mario Sinicki was on the sidelines as a potential substitute goalkeeper. The box was guarded by Jonas Rehberg, whose future still has a few question marks. He actually wants to cut back on the footballing effort, but Reiter wants to keep the number one from the promotion game. "You can only play football successfully with two good goalkeepers," says the official.

Sporting director Reiter wants to strengthen the young team, which consists almost exclusively of Moosburgers and has a lot of development potential, only selectively for the district league. With the striker and otherwise offensively versatile Mathias Holzinger (22) from VfR Haag, there is currently a new signing to report. The footballer, who lives and works in Moosburg, has been a topic at FCM for a long time and has known most of the players for a long time. In addition, Reiter would like to bring a central defender into the Kreisliga squad in the coming weeks. Otherwise, the Dreirosenstädter have a broad cadre that forms a sworn community.
No declaration of war in the direction of the district league
In terms of sport, the official does not put any pressure on the coach and the team: "We wanted to return to the district league, and we want to establish ourselves there," emphasizes Reiter. A declaration of war in relation to an attack in the direction of the district league is far from him. Surely no one in Moosburg would say no if the door to the district level opened. Will it work? At FC Moosburg, the team will be more likely to answer that with its development.
