17:00 - Naomi Caldoni will continue as an assistant coach at Maccabi Ramat Gan
Basketball coach Naomi Kolodny, who served as Shmulik Brenner's assistant coach at Maccabi Ramat Gan, will continue to work alongside him as an assistant coach in the Premier League as well, after an agreement was reached between the sides on Monday.
Kolodny, who played basketball for 22 years and began coaching in the 2018/2019 season, broke the glass ceiling in Israeli basketball. For the first time in history, a woman will serve as an assistant coach in Israel's top men's league.
After the signing, Kolodny said: "I am aware of the great importance of primacy. This is a great expression of confidence by the club in my professionalism, which excites me and flatters me very much. I came to a group that didn't know me and my professional abilities. They took a gamble and I'm glad I proved myself.
