After her successful career, Laura Dahlmeier can be seen again and again at sporting events. But at the FC Bayern game, her visit brought little luck.
Munich – Whether it's the Biathlon World Cup, the Trail Running World Championships or the European Championships, Laura Dahlmeier can still be found at various sporting events after her successful career. Together with her former teammate Maren Hammerschmidt, the ex-biathlete paid a visit to FC Bayern at the Allianz Arena. With an unfortunate outcome.

Laura Dahlmeier together with team-mate Hammerschmidt at the Bayern game
On Matchday 33, FC Bayern faced RB Leipzig in front of their home crowd. The two ex-biathletes Dahlmeier and Hammerschmidt were also part of the party. A sponsor gave them the opportunity to be up close and personal with the record champions' home game finale in the Bundesliga. The red and white fan scarf fitted, the mood of the two athletes was also right.
On Instagram, the two exceptional athletes were beaming with joy on the bench at the Allianz Arena. The 29-year-old wrote: "FOOTBALL: The most popular sport in the world! ⚽️ Thank you for new insights into the world of Bal👀 @viessmann_sport 🙏🏻🏟️ It's always exciting to think outside the box!" But the two were not so happy after the game. The record champions lost 1-3 to RB Leipzig.
Laura Dahlmeier after Bayern defeat: "We probably weren't lucky charms"
Alluding to Bayern's bitter defeat against Leipzig, Laura Dahlmeier added to her Instagram post. "Maren Hammerschmidt, we probably weren't lucky charms for FC Bayern," said the Garmisch-Partenkirchen native, summing up the evening. Her fellow sufferer replied optimistically to the post of her former roommate from biathlon times: "Next time we will be real lucky charms".
Will Dahlmeier and Hammerschmidt stay for Munich until the end of the bitter game? FCB conceded two penalties and lost in the end. As if that weren't enough, the Allianz Arena emptied shortly before the final whistle – the fans fled the stadium.
Nevertheless, FC Bayern still clinched the championship crown of the 2022/2023 season on a thrilling final matchday. Maybe the biathlete's visit for the last day of the match brought luck after all.
