Penzberg U12 celebrates derby victory at just the right time

The U12 basketball players of TSV Penzberg have moved into the final tournament of the district leagues. There, a derby victory came at just the right time.

Penzberg - In addition to the U16 (we reported), the U12 basketball players TSV Penzberg also won a championship title. In their home Josef-Boos-Halle, the young Penzbergs won the playoff tournament for the district league title in the district of Upper Bavaria-West.

As a sovereign second – the lead over DJK Landsberg was four points – the Penzbergs moved into the playoff final tournament.

The first-placed teams in the Kreisliga A (ESV Staffelsee, TSV Penzberg) and B (Slama Jama Gröbenzell, TSV Gräfelfing) had qualified. The hosts won their semi-final with 48:25 against Gröbenzell. In doing so, TSV repeatedly showed its qualities through fast passing forward. Since ESV Staffelsee also won its semi-final, everything was set for the derby.
