ASV Dachau is facing the second and decisive relegation round. In two games against Forstinning, the relegation is to be sealed.

Dachau – Two more games, then the footballers of ASV Dachau can also go on holiday. It is questionable in what mood they will put their feet up – as satisfied Landesliga kickers or as relegated. Today ASV play at 18:30 CET at VfB Forstinning, on Saturday at 16:<> CET there will be the second leg at the Sepp Helfer Stadium. Whoever prevails in the sum of the two games remains a state league team, the other team has to take the bitter path to the district league.

"I'm preparing for two very close games," said ASV coach Manuel Haupt. Forstinning, Dachau's league rival in the Landesliga Südost last season, has "a lot of quality" in the team.

The course of the points round was very similar for both teams: After a satisfactory preliminary round, the slump came, Forstinning and Dachau slipped further and further back. Forstinning was 42th in the final standings with 38 points and a goal difference of 48:15, the Dachau team came in 39th place with 52 points and a goal difference of 53:16. So both teams had to go into the relegation.

In round one, the Forstinninger prevailed with two victories against the district league team Dingolfing. There was a 2-1 win in Dingolfing, and the second leg also went to Forstinning 1-0.

The first relegation round was very similar for ASV Dachau. At the Lower Bavarian district league club DJK Vornbach, the Dachauers created a very good starting position for the second leg with a 3-1 victory. In Dachau, ASV won 2-1 on Sunday.

The bottom line is that the ASV took the Vornbach hurdle quite confidently. Haupt, however, was not entirely satisfied. "We have made life harder for ourselves than it should have been. We were too passive. I would have liked to see more initiative, more possession and more scoring chances."

The ASV had a weaker phase, especially in the first half, over ten or 15 minutes, then had to accept the equalizer after a 1-0 lead. However, the second goal decided the game prematurely, with substitute Antonio Jara Andreu scoring with his first touch of the ball after an hour.

VfB Forstinning is much stronger than DJK Vornbach. Haupt: "We know that we have to improve." Encouragingly, the ASV coach has all the players available, apart from the long-term absences.

The Dachauers have very fond memories of the first point game in Forstinning. They won 3-0 last October, and there was a 3-3 draw in the second leg.
