A hose and the bet is doubled. Christophe Laporte is unplayable in the sprint at the beginning of the Critérium du Dauphiné. Two days after winning the first stage, the Frenchman of the Jumbo-Visma, wearing the yellow jersey, won again after a hard-fought sprint during the 3rd stage between Monistrol-sur-Loire and Le Coteau. The two-time stage winner edged Sam Bennett and Dylan Groenewegen on the line.

This edition of the Dauphiné is decidedly very marked tricolor. After Laporte's inaugural victory, Julian Alaphilippe also won the sprint on Monday. And this Tuesday, Christophe Laporte maneuvered perfectly, first taking the wheel of Dylan Groenewegen before throwing himself in front of Sam Bennett to raise his arms.
The end of the race was marked by several crashes including that of Julian Alaphilippe who also experienced two punctures. A difficult afternoon for the double world champion.
