Shock in Italy. Former AC Milan legend Paolo Paldini was sacked as the club's technical director on Monday after a tense meeting with owner Jerry Cardinale.
According to reports in Italy, there was a professional rift between the two, and they did not see eye to eye on the Rossoneri's professional plans, and Maldini's policy towards procurement did not coincide with the policies of the owners.
Maldini, as befits a true icon who played his entire career (25 years) at the club, and has been in the position for 4 years, is backed by AC Milan fans, who started a protest online and started running the hashtag "#קרדינאלהחוצה".
