Bielefeld – There was great disappointment and anger among the Arminia Bielefeld fans who had travelled with them. In the first leg of the relegation, there was a bitter 0-4 defeat at SV Wehen Wiesbaden, and the situation escalated during the game.
Relegation in the live ticker: Wiesbaden before second division return
Fireworks flew onto the field, the game was interrupted for ten minutes, but was finally stopped. Before that, Bielefeld captain Fabian Klos had to talk to the away section for minutes, after the final whistle the club icon was devastated.
Now a mammoth task awaits the East Westphalians, the starting position before the second leg against the Hessian third division club on Tuesday evening (6 June) could hardly be more difficult. Arminia coach Uwe Koschinat is also aware of this.

"We will accept this sporting challenge 100 percent, even if it is difficult for outsiders to understand. Recent events are fierce. In the end, it's going to be about going into this game with attitude," said the coach at the pre-match press conference.
On the other side, Wiesbaden's coach Markus Kauczinski is calling for full focus despite the comfortable cushion in order not to give up the return to the second division. "We have created a basis, but we also know that a different team with a different attitude awaits us," said the 53-year-old, who also added: "We will prepare ourselves for everything in order to be able to survive a storm on the alpine pasture."
