This is called an emotional elevator. FC Grenoble, resident of Pro D2, was seeking a place in the Top 14 again this weekend but was defeated by Perpignan (19-33). And this Tuesday, the club was even administratively relegated to National by the formation "Regulation" of the Disciplinary Council of French rugby, "to the observation of the projected negative restated net situation as of June 30, 2023 and the level of budgetary uncertainties 2023-2024 not covered".

The penalty does not stop there. The control bodies also deduct four points from the FCG for next season, in addition to the two points suspended since December 1, 2022. That's a total of six points removed for the 2023-2024 season.
Grenoble now has 7 days to appeal the decisions.
