A little more than two days before the start of the final series of the Israeli Basketball Premier League between Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv, and the solution that will lead to the end of the saga of transferring tickets from yellow to red for the first game of the series at the Menora Arena has not yet been found.

On Sunday, Maccabi issued a letter attaching notices from Menorah Arena's safety engineers and the event manager on its behalf, in which both refuse to take responsibility for the game following the lighting of the flares and the burning of the safety net that was hung in the arena between the fans of the away teams and the stand below. Subsequently, the commander of the area also recommended examining the possibility of not bringing away fans into the derby games.

However, yesterday afternoon the management of the Basketball Association passed the decision whether to convene a "state of emergency" that would allow Maccabi not to transfer tickets to Hapoel to the league administration, insisting on upholding the regulations.

Maccabi Tel Aviv did not sell the 1,500 tickets intended for Hapoel fans for the derby, and are waiting for a body to take responsibility for the incident, with the intention of the yellows being to take responsibility on behalf of the police. Meanwhile, the league administration responded to claims made on behalf of Shimon Mizrahi on the sports channel at night, in which they offered to take responsibility for the event and sell the tickets to the entire hall according to their distribution. In practice, thousands of tickets have already been sold to Maccabi fans, so this is an unrealistic step.

In the afternoon, Hapoel Tel Aviv sent a demand to the prosecutor of the Israel Basketball Association requesting a technical victory due to a violation of the regulations by the Yellows. In a letter to the league administration, the Reds asked to postpone the game if tickets were not delivered by yesterday afternoon, but as of now, Hapoel officials have admitted that if tickets are delivered this morning, they will be able to perform as usual.

In light of all this rift and disagreement between the sides, the festive press conference that was supposed to take place this afternoon ahead of the game in Herzliya was canceled. Will the game itself also be postponed?
