For Leon Goretzka, the summer break is already over, but the Bayern player knew how to put it in the limelight to the amusement of the fans.
Munich – Eleven days after the dramatic Bundesliga final, the German internationals are back to business in the ranks of FC Bayern. On 7 June, DFB coach Hansi Flick invited his nominees to Neu-Isenburg to prepare for the three upcoming international matches. Leon Goretzka, who celebrates his last day off on Instagram and cheers up the minds of his followers with his outfit, is also part of the party.

Short Goretzka break after double-edged season finale
The upcoming three international matches of the German national team against Ukraine (12 June), Poland (16 June) and Colombia (20 June) should be a welcome distraction for Goretzka. Despite winning the championship, not everything is going smoothly for the central midfielder at FC Bayern at the moment. On the last matchday in Cologne, Goretzka was first substituted in the 71st minute, only to be taken off the pitch 14 minutes later by Thomas Tuchel.
Sure, with the change, Tuchel had to react to Cologne's 1-1 draw in the meantime, but for Goretzka this should have felt like a maximum penalty. He couldn't shake off his displeasure when Jamal Musiala made it 2-1 – while his team-mates cheered, he didn't move an inch away from his regained bench seat.

Goretzka on holiday in Gnabry style
Now, however, the midfielder was allowed to say goodbye to his well-deserved short holiday, which he spent in warm climes, according to his Instagram post. With the nomination for the upcoming international matches, however, the free time is already over and so Goretzka subtitled his contribution with "A last holiday coffee before it goes again anne Schüppe". For those who didn't grow up in the Ruhr area: There's one last coffee, then it's back to work.
But much more than the description, Goretzka's daring outfit catches the eye of Goretzka fans. The national player wears short white shorts with a colorful oversized shirt, which can come up with small sailing boats as accents. Actually, another FCB player is the fashion victim of the club and so parallels are also drawn in the comments. "Styling tips from Serge (Gnabry; Editor's note) get?" asks one follower. Goretzka does not answer, but another is sure that Gnabry "would never wear it".
Bayern rumour mill could spur Goretzka on
However, not only the fashion topic is under the post, which some rather understand as a declaration of war in the direction of potential new competitors. With regard to the rumours of an imminent move from Declan Rice to FC Bayern, one fan sees a need for action on the part of Goretzka: "Malochen, boy. When Declan comes, it's going to be difficult."

My Area
It is not at all certain whether the DFB player will have to face the competition at FCB at all. Especially in the Premier League, the interest in Goretzka is said to be great, even if he probably prefers to prove himself in Munich. (sch)
