The Federation of ice sports (FFSG) will be a civil party in the investigation into the management of the body by its former president Didier Gailhaguet, we learned Wednesday from a source with knowledge of the file. "The Federation will be a civil party, in particular to have access to the file," said this source close to the Federation. "For the rest, we let justice do its job and we will advise accordingly.

The prosecutor's office said Tuesday that a preliminary investigation entrusted to the financial brigade would be opened, including for breach of trust. These investigations follow a recent report by the General Inspectorate of Education, Sport and Research (IGESR).

In a report, the summary of which was published Saturday, the IGESR alerted, among other things, on an improper use of the federation's bank card and a lack of transparency of contracts under the governance of Didier Gailhaguet, former omnipotent president of the FFSG (1998-2004 and 2007-2020).
The latter, aged 69, has officially not been at the helm of the federation for three years, after being pushed to resign for covering a coach accused of rape and sexual assault in another case.
The inspection on the governance of the FFSG before 2020 was decided in the wake of the election in June 2022 of the current president of the FFSG, Gwenaëlle Noury, very strongly suspected of having been remote-controlled by Didier Gailhaguet.
