"It has to be someone we fully believe in and who can achieve our ambitious goals," Hainer continued: "Of course we would like to have him as soon as possible, but if it takes a few months or until Christmas, it doesn't throw us off track. Neppe will remain technical director for the time being, as Hainer reveals: "He is part of this team and is involved in squad planning. Marco Neppe has an enormous amount of knowledge. When the sporting management is reorganized, we will see how everything develops."
