Highlights: Mario Wilnhammer scored his first goal for SC Moosen in the last game of his active football career. The 32-year-old has only played for the club since the age of five. The defender will remain with the club in the A-Class 8 and play for the second team if there's a need. The SC won the game and now plays in the district league. The full-back has a duty to pay for the goal, so there will be a barbecue at the end of the season.

There were bets on whether it would still happen: Then Wilnhammer struck. The victory at BSG Taufkirchen 2 was the perfect end to the season for the reserve team of SC Moosen.

Moosen – In addition to staying in the A-Class 8, full-back Mario Wilnhammer was particularly celebrated. In the last game of his active football career, he was actually able to score his very first goal in the senior area.

"Various bets have already been made as to whether I will make another one or not. For example, two players bet for 50 litres of beer," says Wilnhammer with a smile. In the 76th minute of his last game, the time had come. After he had initiated the attack from the outside himself, he got the ball across in the penalty area and slotted into the short corner.

Wilnhammer was particularly celebrated for his goal, as it was a long time coming

"Mario has always been very dedicated and hardworking, but it just never worked out. The fact that it worked in the last game makes it all the better," said SCM coach Johannes Schirmbeck. Although the goal to make it 8-0 was no longer decisive for the game, the jubilation of the fans and the players on the bench was greater than with any other goal.

"After the game, a lot of people who couldn't be there wrote in the WhatsApp group that it couldn't be that I scored another goal. They didn't really want to believe it, and I felt the same way at first," Wilnhammer says.

SC Moosen: Wilnhammer will remain with the club in the AH

The 32-year-old, who has only played for SC since the age of five, will remain with the club: "I'm now going to the AH and letting the younger generation do it. But I'll still go to training from time to time and play for the second team if there's a need."

Actually, the defender would also have been in the first squad for the relegation match against TSV Hohenwart. "But I gave my girlfriend a wellness weekend for her birthday and could only watch the game from a distance," Wilnhammer said. As is well known, the SC won the game and now plays in the district league.

Regardless of the promotion celebration, there will be an additional celebration at the end of the season. Wilnhammer has a duty: "I still have to pay for the debut for my goal. We'll have a barbecue with the beer from the bet, and then I'll get the meat for everyone."
