The Weilheim senior A bowlers have achieved a special result for them at Bayern level. This brought them participation in the German championship.

Weilheim - In the first round of the championship series, the senior A team from Frischauf Weilheim still had the necessary luck to advance. Only because of the better set rating (8.5:7.5) did the Weilheimers win the district duel against Weiß-Blau Eintracht Waldkraiburg by a razor-thin margin.

Thus, the Frischauf team had qualified for the Bavarian championship. There, the district town justified their participation with the runner-up title. The qualification for the German championship for club teams was done - and the Frischauf quartet was also convincing in this competition.

The special feature of the competition for "club teams" is that a team can recruit bowlers from several clubs based in one place. According to the rules of the game, there is only one (superordinate) club per town, but several clubs can play there. The Weilheim team consisted exclusively of players from the Frischauf club, three of the four players are also likely to play for the seniors B. Therefore, the performance was "a great success," said team spokesman Kölsch.
