Who will be the new sporting director at FC Bayern? There are plenty of candidates
Hasan Salihamidzic, who has held this position for the past six years, was recently dismissed. Now the question arises: Who will succeed "Brazzo" on Säbener Straße?
While Uli Hoeneß would wait "until Christmas" (for Max Eberl?), the new CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen hopes for a decision in the "foreseeable future". Boss returnee Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who would like to "present a solution quickly", recently blew a similar horn.

FC Bayern are looking for a new sporting director: Milan legend Paolo Maldini an option?
There are plenty of candidates. Eberl, Eintracht Frankfurt's Markus Krösche, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Arjen Robben were mentioned last. Would Paolo Maldini, who was released by AC Milan at the beginning of the week, also be an option? Hard to imagine. But nothing can be ruled out at FC Bayern at the moment.
In addition to club president Herbert Hainer, FCB patron Hoeneß, Rummenigge, Dreesen, coach Thomas Tuchel, the new CFO Michael Diederich and Marco Neppe are currently taking care of the sporting planning. "With the addition of Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, we have another enormous sporting competence in this body," said President Hainer in an interview with Sportbild: "In the search for a sporting director, we have set ourselves the goal: quality before speed."
Decision made at FC Bayern for the time being: Marco Neppe remains technical director
Therefore, there will be no quick fix. "It has to be someone we fully believe in and who can achieve our ambitious goals," Hainer continued: "Of course we would like to have him as soon as possible, but if it takes a few months or until Christmas, it doesn't throw us off track. We can bridge the situation well."

However, a decision has already been made. At least for now. After all, Neppe will remain technical director for the time being, as Hainer revealed: "He is part of this team and is involved in squad planning. Marco Neppe has an enormous amount of knowledge. When the sporting management is reorganized, we will see how everything develops."
New sporting director at FC Bayern? Search doesn't get boring
In addition to the search for a new sporting leadership, the Säbener is meanwhile looking for a real center forward and a new six. However, even this undertaking is not easy. In addition, the leadership chaos leads to mind games among some Bayern stars.
In addition to many uncertainties, one thing is certain: it won't be boring at FC Bayern in the coming weeks. (smk)
