Maccabi Haifa has accelerated talks with English goalkeeper Nathan Baxter, while negotiations are underway with Josh Cohen. The champions want to close the matter of the first goalkeeper and have made it clear to Cohen that due to the procrastination with him, they are also talking to the goalkeeper who belongs to Chelsea, whose candidacy was announced here about a month ago.
The 24-year-old Baxter, who has been on loan at Hull City this season, has been informed today that he will become a free agent this summer, according to a report in The Standard, and has several offers from the English Premier League, as well as relegated from Reading.

Meanwhile, Maccabi Haifa continues to shape the squad for next season. On Thursday evening, the Greens announced their farewell to Nikita Rukavicia, after six seasons in total, two championships, two titles as top scorers, 65 league goals and sixth place in the Greens' all-time top scorer table in the league. "Maccabi Haifa Football Club thanks Nikki for great days in green and white and wishes him much success in the future," the club said.
Professional manager Gal Alberman said: "We thank Nikki for six seasons at Maccabi Haifa and for his part in the team's achievements. Nicky is etched in the club's history books as one of the greatest goalscorers of all time. We love you very much Nikki and wish you the best of luck in the future."
