The magical journey of the Israeli under-20 team in the World Cup came to a halt on Thursday evening, with a 1-0 loss to Uruguay in the semifinals. Ofir Haim's wonderful team hoped to deliver another performance on the way to the final on Sunday, but their opponent was superior and rewarded with a goal by Anderson Duarte in the 61st minute. Israel now has one more task left in its debut at the FIFA U-20 World Championship: the match for places 3-4, which will take place on Sunday at 20:30 against the loser of the parallel semi-final between Italy and South Korea.
