The fourth round of the Diamond League in Athletics arrived in Paris on Friday evening, providing us with an amazing world record in the women's 5,000 meters, signed by the mighty Faith Kipyegon.
She is currently the hottest name in world athletics, having just a week ago broken the world record in the 1,500 meters with a whopping 3:49.11 minutes in the third round of the Diamond League, held in Florence.

This time it looked like Kipyegon was far from achieving another record, but in the last two rounds she stepped up the pace and saw on the board the letters of WR indicating a world record, along with a fantastic time of 14:05.20.
The 29-year-old runner improved by 1.42 seconds on the previous record held by Ethiopian Letsenbet Gidey for the past three years. Kipyegon grabbed her face, went on a triumphant tour and hurried to take a picture next to the board announcing that she was the world record.
